Nicky Hartley

Finding inspiration from the beautiful landscapes that are current in my life as a mother has led me to creating paintings that reflect the human form and their relationship to the surrounding environment . The lush bush and coastal ranges in Waitakere form the basis of my work at present. Each painting is an adventure, an exploration  into new territory which keeps the journey alive.

Creating these exhibitions with the other members of WoM.A.N (Mother.Artists.Network) has given me the incentive and discipline to keep painting and holding art workshops on a regular basis.

The inspiration and lightness brought through from my children and the WoKIDS workshops has been a joy and drive to keep the art process going.
